India have come out as the far superior team than the visiting Australians in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar trophy, which reflects in their one-sided wins in the first two Tests of the four-match series, and it has impressed former India captain and ex-BCCI chief Sourav Ganguly no end.
After winning the opening Test in Nagpur by an innings and 132 runs, the Rohit Sharma-led Indian team demolished the Aussies in Delhi as well, winning the game by six wickets inside three days to retain the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

Left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja produced his best Test spell with figures of 7/42 and together with off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin deflated the visitors on the third day, leaving India just 115 to win.
“Not surprised by India’s 2nd Test win… congratulations to Indian team… on turning pitches they bat and bowl better than any opposition at any stage of the game,” tweeted Ganguly.

On day three, Australia went from 65 for 1 in their second innings to 113 all out, with their strategy to sweep Indian spinners coming a cropper.
The third Test will be played in Indore from March 1 to 5.
