Naqvi visited the stadium on Tuesday to oversee security measures and brief the team about additional steps taken following the attack.
“Security has been beefed up with Pakistan Army and the paramilitary Rangers now deputed to monitor safety for the visiting players and officials,” a PCB source confirmed.Pakistan’s Interior Ministry has indirectly blamed Afghanistan’s Taliban-led government for allowing the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) to operate from its soil.
