In the PUBG New State Pro Series Grand Finals, which were concluded on January 29 and in which Team XO triumphantly claimed the trophy, Team S8UL had a middling showing. The crowd-pleasing team scored 68 points at an average of 5.6, but that wasn’t enough to place third. The team was predicted to place among the top three performances in the Grand Finale because it topped the leaderboard in the Challenger Finale phase. They finished with 28 less points than Team XO (96), but they still took home a 4 lakh rupee cash award.
In the third game, which was contested on the Erangel map on Day 1, Divine and company managed to secure their first Chicken Dinner, which helped them start the final leg of the tournament off well. After three games, they finished third in the overall table with 25 points after securing a 9-kill victory. In the third match, Shadow put on an outstanding performance to secure five eliminations.
The squad lost the following three games, failing to build on their opening-day position of fifth place with 40 points. After Day 1’s six matches, Team XO held the lead with 69 points, followed by GodLike in fourth place with 43 points.Team S8UL put out another mediocre showing on Day 2, winning just 28 points in their final six games. The team rediscovered some rhythm after two straight losses and scored 11 points in the third game of the second day. However, they sadly only managed to score eight points in their final three games after suffering once more.
Despite having a slower day than Day 1, Team XO managed to keep the top rank. In the pivotal final game, GodLike had amazing success, recording an eight-kill Chicken Dinner and taking second place in the standings. While teams like GodLike, S8UL, and Skylightz had rosters specifically for this competition, Team XO’s squad for the event included seasoned BGMI athletes such as Fierce, Punk, Sarang, and Pukar.
