Namita Thapar criticises a creator on Shark Tank India 2 for advocating unhealthy methods of weight loss, saying, “Log yeh sab gimmicky cheezein.”

The founder of a weight reduction company will be criticised by Namita Thapar for her business pitch in the upcoming episode of Shark Tank India 2.
In the teaser, Shikha Aggarwal is promoting her “unique concept” for weight loss without exercise to the Sharks. She requests their mentoring and Rs. 20 lakhs in exchange for 1% of the company.
She claims, “When I was overweight, I lacked vigour and self-assurance. Since I’m a mother, you can eat soups and salads on a diet, but you may also have a hectic schedule. Thus, it was not feasible. I started implementing this original idea while also studying diet and nutrition, and the outcome is seen here. Without exercising, I dropped weight.”

Judge Namita Thapar is underwhelmed, in contrast to ‘Shark’ Aman Gupta and Vineeta Singh who both laud her for her enthusiasm and add, “You are quite a force,” respectively.
Namita disagrees with Shikha’s idea and her usage of the word “restart” because she has struggled with weight issues herself.

She tells her, “Yeh jo aapne word use kiya hai na ‘restart’, isi mein problem hai. Ye jo aap bata rahi hai na usse mein fundamentally agree nahi kar rahi hoon, ki no exercise… humare saath aate hain, restart karte hain… Let’s spread the message ki weight loss ek lifestyle change se hota hai… aur hum diabetes capital, blood pressure capital ban rahe hain because log ye sab gimmicky cheezein kar rahe hain aur apne health ke saath mess kar rahe hain. Toh mujhe ye sab sunke thoda sa, I am sorry but gussa jaise aa jata hai. I think we need to stop misguiding the country for that my reason is out. (My main issue is with the word ‘restart’ that you haveused. I do not fundamentally agree with what you are saying, that there should be no exercise, we should restart, etc. Weight loss happens due to lifestyle changes, and if our nation is becoming diabetes and blood pressure capital, it is because we are engaging in these gimmicks and playing with our health).”

Namita discussed her emotional eating condition and how she experienced bullying at school for being a “moustache girl” and a “moti” in a podcast interview with novelist Chetan Bhagat.
She revealed, “I weighed a lot too much. I had acne and a lot of facial hair. As a teen, I experienced a lot of body shaming. I can’t reveal my weight, but it was a lot. Nobody gave me a glance. When you are severely body shamed as a teenager, it causes many scars.”
