The Friday release of Lakadbaggha, which stars Anshuman Jha, failed to generate any notable box office results. However, this isn’t deterring the filmmakers from moving forward with the movie’s sequel and beginning production this year.
Anshuman expressed his gratitude to HBO and the South Asian International Film Festival, New York, for giving Lakadbaggha (Hyena) the honour of being the festival’s opening film and for recognising my character Arjun Bakshi as deserving of the Best Actor Award. Since it was declared after Irfan (Khan) sir’s birthday, I dedicate this award to him. I’d like to congratulate Sayani (Gupta) on winning best female actor for Homecoming as well. And I apologise for my delayed response; I was too busy promoting Lakadbaggha to get their formal mail. Glad they reached out on call.”
