Chaminda Vaas took a hat-trick towards Bangladesh in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa within the 2003 International Cup. He pushed aside Hannan Sarkar, Mohammad Ashraful, and Ehsanul Haque off consecutive deliveries. Vaas holds the document for the most efficient bowling figures via a Sri Lankan in an ODI International Cup fit (6/25).
