The Marvel Cinematic Universe was launched by Robert Downey Jr. in 2008 with the release of Iron Man, in which Gwyneth Paltrow portrayed Pepper Potts, his personal assistant who later found love. In the sequels and other Marvel films up until Avengers: Endgame, the pair reprised their roles because of their incredible on-screen chemistry. Off-screen, they seem to get along just as well, as seen by the adorable video we found of them together.
The only MCU film in which Paltrow wasn’t there when Downey’s Iron Man was is possibly Captain America: Civil War. Aside from that, the on-screen pair has been around for a while fulfilling relationship objectives. To see their friendship off-screen as well, scroll below.
Gwyneth Paltrow may be heard saying, “By the way, him without a shirt is fantastic! Don’t misunderstand me. Yep, 22 years ago, Robert Downey Jr. jumps in. Then, Paltrow continued to disagree with Downey and said, “No, right now. The best b*tt in the world belongs to him. I advise you to touch it as you leave. Before Downey realised what he had just agreed to, he said, “Great Idea,” in an impulsive manner. And the entire audience on the other side of the camera started laughing.
During the events of Avengers: Endgame, where Gwyneth Paltrow’s Pepper Potts wore the Rescue Armor and fought alongside the other superheroes to defeat Thanos, it was extremely difficult to say goodbye to Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man.
There is a rumour, though, that Downey may make a second appearance as Iron Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Avengers: Secret Wars. We’ll keep you updated on it, and for more Marvel news,
