To change esports in Saudi Arabia, SNB, Mastercard, and SEF collaborate.

During the SEF Awards, Saudi National Bank signed a strategic partnership deal with Mastercard and the Saudi Esports Federation to advance the Kingdom’s infrastructure for gaming and esports and speed up its digital transformation.

The partnership will expand on Mastercard’s longstanding partnership with SEF to boost the billion-dollar gaming sector in the Kingdom.

The three organisations will work together to investigate and develop cutting-edge financial products and services that provide value and improve the gaming experience. The arrangement will take use of the resources, experience, and networks of all three companies to serve the gaming and young population in Saudi Arabia.

“This agreement emphasises the importance of the private sector’s role in supporting the overall development movement in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under Vision 2030,” said Saud Abdulaziz Bajbair, head of the retail business group at SNB. This agreement is a crucial step in the adoption of new digital technologies that will help the Kingdom become a major centre for esports and gaming.

The partnership is based on the significance and explosive expansion of Saudi Arabia’s e-gaming sector. By encouraging innovation to spur new developments in this field, it hopes to increase the presence of e-gaming and take use of its possibilities.

By assisting in the development of an e-gaming business that is gaining momentum among a sizable portion of Saudi society, this move also highlights SNB’s involvement in the growth of the e-gaming community and sector in Saudi Arabia.

“We are aware of the potential influence that gaming has. We hope to unleash the gaming potential of the Kingdom through our collaboration with Mastercard and SNB, strengthening the gaming environment there and fostering even more innovation. The Kingdom will stand out as a desirable investment location and will offer cutting-edge gaming experiences thanks to this, according to Ahmed Al-Bishri, chief operations officer of the Saudi Esports Federation.

“We are thrilled to collaborate with SNB and SEF,” said Mete Güney, executive vice president of services for EEMEA at Mastercard. “Two like-minded organisations driven by a shared commitment toward accelerating digital transformation, realising Saudi Arabia’s tech potential, and achieving its Vision 2030.

“The historic deal is well on its way to showcasing innovative technologies that are crucial in making the Kingdom a major hub for gaming and esports, as well as – more generally — for business, tourism, leisure, and innovation. Together, we want to expand on the efforts made by the Saudi government to develop the local gaming sector, supporting it to give players all around the Kingdom genuinely immersive and unforgettable experiences that bridge physical and virtual realities.

Through their collaboration, SNB, SEF, and Mastercard will develop fresh Web3-powered experiences that will provide players access to exclusive advantages and engaging real-world and virtual encounters.
