Does inexperience really outweigh youth? While ranked lobbies are dominated by prodigies who appear destined for greatness once they reach adulthood, esports is full of young guns with mind-blowing mechanical skill and reaction times.
The most recent illustration of a budding star who has established himself in the Valorant ranking is 14-year-old Darxcio.
In spite of his youth, he beat out professionals who make a career playing the game to take the top spot on the global Valorant leaderboard on January 26.
Players cannot view a global ranking on Valorant’s Immortal and Radiant leaderboards because they are organised by region.
To assess how they compare globally, gamers can access aggregate global leaderboards on third-party websites like tracker.gg.
Darxcio is still in third place in Europe even if he has dropped from first to sixth overall at the time of writing. According to his Twitter bio, the young person only just reached Radiant at the age of 11, and it only appears like he is growing better.
Darxcio now has 102 wins in Episode 6 Act I, a 1.08 K/D ratio, and a win percentage of 53.1%. In addition to agents like Fade, Sage, and Phoenix, he has primarily played Jett, Raze, and Killjoy.
The 14-year-old has expressed his desire to play professionally in Valorant, but he will probably have to wait till he is a little older. Currently, Valorant Challengers teams require players to be at least 18 years old, whereas VCT-partnered teams have a minimum age requirement of 16.
You can watch him live right now on Twitch, where he already has 25,000 followers.
