The 9-year-old Jetshen Dohna Lama is the winner of the longest-running singing reality TV competition for children in India, “Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs Season 9,” which aired on Zee TV. This joyful news comes all the way from Maya Nagari, “Mumbai.”
Jetshen Dohna Lama lit up the stage with her own distinctive voice and gestures during Sunday’s Blockbuster Grand Finale. Her astounding performances of two songs—”Roop Tera Mastana” from the movie “Aradhana,” originally performed by Kishor Kumar, and “Batdmeez Dil” from the movie “Yeh Jawani Yeh Diwani”—were so impressive that special guest Jackie Shroff bowed respectfully before Jetshen, and the judges picked her up and hugged her like a butterfly. Jackie Shroff endorsed Jetshen in his remarks regarding the performance.
Celebrating Jackie Shroff’s 40 years as “Jaggu Dada” in Bollywood, contestants sang songs from his movie Tera Naam Liya and Tu Meri Janu Hai Tu Meri Dilbar.
Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs 9 was won by Jetshen Dohna Lama, who also received Rs 10 lakh in prize money.
When Jetshen Dohna Lama started playing music, she was just three years old. Every judge, jury member, and celebrity visitor have praised the young contestant for her intense performances throughout the season.
