With the most recent season and collection event, Apex Legends reached its all-time peak player counts, but each patch also brings its fair share of issues. Many server issues and failures have negatively impacted user experience, causing many gamers to frequently check to see if the servers are up.
Unfortunately, a brand-new problem called the infamous “Engine Error” is now making the battle royale almost unusable by kicking players out of their active battles.
The message “Engine Error – UI Images Ran Out of Room” may appear on the screen when loading any game mode or while a match is still being played. The player is also sent back to the main menu by this problem.
Numerous various documented unfavourable results are the result of user encounter with the engine fault. Before being ejected once more to the menus, some players have been allowed to reconnect to their match. Others are sent to the lobby page with an abandoned match penalty and a new error notice stating that they cannot rejoin a forfeited match.
Although there is no obvious link between how this problem happens and how many players are affected, both competitive and casual players have expressed their displeasure.
Professional player StayNaughtyy, who was formerly on Cloud9, even spoke out after repeatedly crashing on his Twitch feed as a result of this problem, demonstrating how severely the error affects each Apex game.
Respawn presently lacks a definitive answer to the problem and hopes to update the public on any developments.
The ALGS Split One Playoffs begin on Thursday, February 2, while the Spellbound tournament ends on January 24. Respawn must find a solution quickly or risk even more difficulty.
