Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has come under fire for making fun of Shah Rukh Khan’s most recent movie, Pathaan. Kangana criticised Pathaan for portraying Pakistan, a “enemy nation” of India, and its spy service ISI in a favourable light. This caught everyone off guard because Kangana had previously praised Pathaan during the wrap-up celebration for her next movie Emergency.
“All those who are claiming Pathaan is a triumph of love over hatred, I agree, but whose love over whose hate?” she said on Twitter. Who exactly is supporting this and making it a success, let’s be clear? Yes, it is the country of India, where 80% of the population is Hindu, and yet Pathaan is a movie.A portion of the internet, however, took issue with her opinions because she initially applauded the movie before changing her mind. She was informed by a user that her “lifetime earnings” on Pathaan are her daily earnings “. Being known for speaking up, Kangana responded, “Nimo bhai I don’t have any money left. To make a movie that will honour the Indian Constitution and our love for this wonderful country, I have mortgaged my home, my office, and everything else I own. aise koi hai jo aise udai paise toh sabhi kama lete hain.”
Anupam Kher and Satish Kaushik, Kangana’s co-stars in the movie Emergency, and she previously stated that they intended Pathaan to “absolutely work” in a press conference “She gave the movie, which also features Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, high acclaim.
Pathaan acha kar rahi hai, Kangana exclaimed. Pathaan is doing incredibly well. Aisi flicks chalni chahiye aur I feel ki jo hamare Hindi cinema wale piche reh gaye hain, Har insaan apne level pe koshish kar raha hai. I believe that movies like this ought to succeed. We’ve all been working to help revive Hindi cinema in our own small ways as it has fallen behind other film industries.”
