Skiter from Tundra Esports discusses Team Secret’s recent decline

Oliver “skiter” Lepko, the championship-winning carry player for Tundra Esports, recently discussed Team Secret’s recent deterioration in performance after quickly defeating them 2-0 in Division I of the Western Europe Dota Pro Circuit 2023 (WEU DPC 2023): Winter Tour. Tundra Esports is still on track to clinch a straight qualification for the Lima Major despite having only dropped one series to Team Liquid earlier in the tour.

The interviewee focused mostly on the recent foe of the Tundra as well as the team’s scrim partners throughout the ongoing competitive season.

He said that he believes Squad Secret leader Clement “Puppey” Ivanov would be able to turn the team around as the season goes on. Who is to say? It’s Puppey’s [team] right, after all. He participated in every TI (The International) and the squad had a lot of success under his leadership. He said, “I’m confident he’ll get it solved by the time TI rolls around, and we’ll see him there.

Skiter also discussed the team’s practise scrims against Eastern European teams like BetBoom Team and Team Spirit, noting that Tundra Esports often avoids competing against WEU teams in order to prevent giving any teams an advantage.

“I mean, Team Spirit has always been our scrim partner ever since the roster was founded, so we constantly keep a look out for them. However, ever since BetBoom was established, they appeared to be the new Squad Spirit in the area, thus we frequently competed against them because they are a strong and innovative team. We occasionally train against Team Liquid, however for obvious reasons we don’t scrim against WEU teams.
With four victories and one defeat, Tundra Esports is presently ranked second in the WEU DPC rankings. Despite Team Liquid having already claimed the top spot in the WEU region, the team is still on track to securing a spot in the next Lima Major.
