Actress Shruti Haasan responded to rumours that she had skipped a pre-launch event for her upcoming movie, Waltair Veerayya, on social media. Shruti, Chiranjeevi, Ravi Teja, and Catherine Tresa are among the cast members of the K. S. Ravindra-directed movie. Shruti disclosed that she missed the event because of a viral infection.
The actor wrote, “Ok so here’s the thing, misinformation like this and the over dramatisation or flippant handling of such subjects is what makes people afraid to talk about mental health. Sharing screenshots of several media reports that claimed Shruti Haasan has “mental problems” and is receiving treatment. What’s this? It doesn’t function
“I will always advocate for mental health and encourage taking care of oneself in every way. Oh and… Nice try getting over yourselves and while you’re at it, please talk to a therapist. I had a viral fever. No, honestly, do it,” she urged.
