Producer Ekta Kapoor is the most recent celebrity to respond to Radhika Madan’s remark about the workplace culture in the television industry, following actor Sayantani Ghosh. Ekta referred to Radhika’s remarks as “sad and humiliating.”
A video of Sayantani responding to Radhika’s statement was shared by Ekta. “Sad and shameful performers have no regard for their roots, Kudos @sayantanighosh0609,” she added alongside it.
In a recent interview, Radhika recalls putting in 48 to 50 hours each week as a TV actor. Aap set pe chalo, script garma garam aa rahi hai (You only reach the sets, script will be freshly printed), she claimed she was told anytime she requested for the script. She claimed that directors used to come to shoot and make last-minute modifications based on whose director was available. Additionally, Radh claimed that the director always informed her that whenever she had anything to say about her role, they would consider it when they made a movie rather than a TV series.
Sayantani responded to the interview on Instagram, and RJ Siddharth Kannan recently questioned her about it. She continued, “We also have Mouni Roy, who is a great friend of mine. In the interviews I’ve listened to, there is a certain grace that I didn’t find in Radhika’s footage because she started her career on TV. You shouldn’t do that, in my opinion, because she and many others despise television. Don’t use TV as a stepping stone, that’s my issue.
