Man detained in Gujarat for making threats against business owners against the publication of “Pathaan”

The Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone film “Pathaan” was not released in theatres because of threats made by a 33-year-old male, according to the Ahmedabad Cyber Crime Police.Sunny Shah, also known as Tauji, has been named as the man. In a recent video, he threatened theatre owners, pleading with them not to broadcast “Pathaan.”

The video statement of Shah was published by several newspapers in Gujarat. In the video, Shah said that if any theatre owner decides to run Pathaan, then their theatres would be set on fire.

Shah was apprehended by Ahmedabad Cyber Police after they learned about the video through newspaper reporting.

Shah had belonged to the right-wing Hindu organisation Karni Sena, the police claim. When police confiscated his phone, they discovered a video on it that threatened the owners of theatres.
