Actor Jeremy Renner, who is arguably best known for his role as Hawkeye in the Marvel movies, claimed on Saturday that he suffered more than 30 broken bones as a result of being ran over by his own snow plough on New Year’s Day at his home in Nevada.
The huge 14,000-lb (six-ton) car toppled upon the “Avengers” actor while he was sweeping a driveway, and he wound up spending more than two weeks in the hospital.
The 52-year-old two-time Oscar nominee posted on Instagram in appreciation of the support she has received: “These 30 plus fractured bones will mend, become stronger, just like the love and relationship with family and friends increases.”
He shared a picture of himself hunched down in a hospital bed, hands clasped at his chest, with another man supporting his bent knee.
Renner writes, “Morning exercises and resolutions all altered this particular new year. “Sprang from sadness for my entire family and swiftly concentrated on bringing actionable love together.”
While attempting to get onto the snow plough to halt it, Renner was hurt. He was taken to the hospital by helicopter and later uploaded a photo from there that revealed severe facial bruises.
According to officials, there was no evidence of drinking or drug use before to the collision.
The snowcat, also known as a PistenBully, is a huge snow plough controlled by Renner that has enormous elevated caterpillar tracks on either side of the covered cab.
