Even though the actor has stated that the scope of his comeback to the character is fairly minimal, there are many rumours and expectations that he would appear in future MCU films. The Dolittle actor now admits in an old interview that he was worried about a potential comeback.On The Joe Rogan Experience, Robert Downey Jr. had a conversation with Joe Rogan about his life, his destiny, when to take up the mantle of Iron Man, and most importantly, whether he would ever take it up again. “If you’re brilliant at what you do, then it’s not about time,” the Sherlock Holmes actor added. It’s about…it makes no difference when you choose to take up the mantle once more. It’s almost there, but isn’t it terrifying? You can think, “I can start a new life, who knows,” when someone tells you, “Hey Joe, just don’t do this show for 4 years and then come back and do it again.”
The two also talked about whether or not Iron Man has finally come to an end. Additionally, the world as a whole has concluded that there can only ever be one Iron Man, and that man was Robert Downey Jr.
