RRR, the film directed by India’s top filmmaker SS Rajamouli, has been making waves abroad by winning several important prizes, including the Golden Globe. But the leading man claims that he doesn’t produce movies in order to win praise from critics.
Rajamouli recently stated in an interview with a Hollywood outlet that he produces movies for financial gain. “I create movies for the money, and I make movies for the viewers. I don’t produce movies to win praise from critics. RRR is a commercial movie, thus when my movie does well in the box office, I’m overjoyed. Awards are a continuation of it. I’m pleased about it since my unit worked so hard to get it, said Rajamouli.
All eyes are currently focused on the January 24th release of the Oscar nominees. The song Naatu Naatu from the movie has been shortlisted for a nomination in the category of Best Original Song.
