Black Adam, starring Dwyane Johnson, was one of the most eagerly awaited movies of 2022 when it was released in October of last year. The movie, which also starred Pierce Brosnan, Noah Centineo, Aldis Hodge, Sarah Shahi, and Quintessa Swindell, bombed at the box office. The movie was distributed on an OTT platform some months later. But surprise, the movie still doesn’t work there. The movie lost to an old movie ten years ago before becoming the most popular streaming movie in the US. It’s none other than the 2013 film Prisoners starring Hugh Jackman.
Hugh plays the lead, and Denis Villeneuve’s picture also features Jake Gyllenhaal, Paul Dano, Terrence Howard, and others in significant roles.
