At the event, the three actors and the director could be seen praising one another nonstop to the point that SRK even broke into a bromance and kissed John.
For those who are unaware, the movie was a huge hit at the box office, earning 271 crore in India and 542 crore worldwide, outpacing major blockbusters like Baahubali 2, KGF 2, and others. However, it appears that this was insufficient to rouse the box office.
When fans shouted “Pathan 2!” during the Pathaan success meet, director Siddharth Anand shocked everyone by dropping a huge hint regarding the movie’s sequel. Siddharth Anand’s statement, “Pathaan aayi hai, hit hui hai,” to the media when speaking to them caused supporters to erupt. How do you spell bad? “Pathaan 2!” yelled the crowd. Shah Rukh and I discussed the idea of producing something ten years ago. I then told him about this incident. The goal was to collaborate on a movie with him.
