Esports for women are “barely getting started,” according to a Saudi Federation official

Reaam Alkhudairi from the Saudi Esports Federation has predicted that female involvement in esports will rise steadily over the next few years. Six million individuals played video games in the Kingdom alone in 2020, with women making up nearly half of the new players.Even though men still dominate the esports industry, there has been a significant improvement in Saudi Arabia, according to Alkhudairi, who also predicted that additional improvements will occur as Vision 2030 advances.

According to her, Saudi Arabia’s esports landscape is particularly flourishing in the gaming industry and is providing more chances for women.Esports are an interesting and difficult activity, and Saudi Esports Federation is committed to encouraging and assisting both adults and children to participate, according to Alkhudairi.

She continued by citing Najd Fahd as an illustration of how the Saudi Esports Federation is working to develop the abilities of women in esports as part of its mission. Fahd is now known as the first Saudi Arabian woman to place first in FIFA 20 and was also given the Best Female Player of 2021 award by the Saudi Esports Federation Awards (SEF Awards).
