Ashneer Grover, a former Shark Tank India judge, responded to a recent statement made by his former coworker Namita Thapar on the lack of “toxicity” in the show’s second season. After making an appearance in the first season, Ashneer quit the programme, and several of his fellow sharks noted his absence.
In front of a large crowd of thousands at IIT Kharagpur’s annual fair, Ashneer was questioned about Namita’s comments from a recent podcast, in which she said that the primary distinction between the first and second seasons will be a lack of toxicity.
Many perceived her remark as a covert criticism of Ashneer, who had earned a reputation for being a straight shooter while appearing on the show. In season two, no pitcher would be humiliated like some were in season one, according to Anupam Mittal, who was also present at the interview during which Namita made her remark.
In response to the query, Ashneer states, “You can see that I never once mentioned Namita. I don’t miss her for a reason, you see. But I’m missed by her. Whatever she wants to call it, she is missing me.”
Ashneer also revealed that he will almost certainly not return to Shark Tank India “I thus declare that I will not return for the third, fourth, or even fifth season of the show. And I’ll tell you why: I think life is about moving forward, not turning backwards. I had fun on Shark Tank while it lasted, I got famous, and it was entertaining, but it’s time to move on now “.
