More than a movie fling. Zendaya and Tom Holland are still going strong more than a year after their romance went public, and the lovebirds are only getting closer. The Euphoria actress and the England native seem “serious and permanent,” an insider exclusively tells Us Weekly in the latest issue, on stands now. “They’re both in settling-down mode and are absolutely planning for a real future together,” the source adds.
The couple met on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2016, already destined to play love interests on the screen. Producer Amy Pascal even warned them at the time not to get into a relationship, because the Spider-Man world would be continuing for a while.
“I took Tom and Zendaya aside, separately, when we first cast them and gave them a lecture,” Pascal said. “Don’t go there—just don’t. Try not to.”
The news of a possible Tom-Zendaya wedding comes a year after the Spider-Man: No Way Home actor confessed he plans on getting married and having children. Via Teen Vogue, speaking with Total Film Magazine, Tom admitted that he’s ‘happy and in love’. He also hinted that he might not commit his life to acting and maybe focus on just his family.
However, it was suggested as early as 2017 that something romantic was brewing. They were finally photographed by paparazzi in 2021 kissing at a stoplight in Los Angeles. Zendaya and Holland don’t like that their connection is so public, and Holland told GQ in November 2021 that they miss their privacy.
Previously, Tom Holland has spoken about wanting to get married and have children. The Spider-Man: No Way Home actor confessed that he was happy in love and would like to commit to his family in the future. Moreover, he and Zendaya have also been spotted house hunting.
Could it be possible that the Uncharted actor and Dune actress actually settle down? Only time will tell that. Both have worked together on three Spidey films. The latest entry was No Way Home, which became a box office hit. Now, rumours are rife that they will return for Spider-Man 4.
Meanwhile, when it comes to their individual work, Tom Holland is also working on the series ‘The Crowded Room’ and a biopic on Fres Astaire. As for Zendaya, the actress is busy with Dune 2 and Challengers.
